Called to be Empowered
not too long ago
Took me by suprise
prepared to contemplate ignorance

I didn't partake of this luxury
others couldn't identify me
The sun didn't shine as bright
anointing came from midnight

Things and people change
my voice sounded strained
Critical becomes necessary
morning comes after midnight

I finally stopped to smell
meticulous selection aged perfection
the blazing sun kissed
anointing of destiny

Then a loud noise
now a silent butterfly
poised to take flight
voices awake after midnight

I could be heard
with words sanctioned
as a gift to the beholder
or just a present to myself

Thought for today: Buying Good Karma

Sometimes we aren't aware of how our actions may impact us or our surroundings. These actions can cause either a world of good or a great deal of irreparable harm. Buying good Karma is the act of intentionally using your abilities and efforts to ensure a good result. Sort of like "The Butterfly effect" in reverse. People have called it "Paying it forward"; but, the idea is to overcome evil with good. Sort of like using probiotics. If you don't use them the bad bacteria can overrun and cause issues with your body. Adding or introducing good bacteria into your system forces the bad bacteria to stay under control. The Bible puts it best, allow Jesus' light to shine through you and it will overcome the darkness. Thought for Today: Is Alzheimer's Selfish?

When reading an article about linguists who studied the diary entries of a woman from aged 60 to 90, they wrote she included the pronoun "I" 100% of the time after being diagnosed with Alzheimers (a disease that robs you of the ability to remember). The linguists theorized a link to cognitive decline. However, could there also be a spiritual link? The state where undeveloped or underdeveloped spiritual maturity is given, as the Bible suggests (Romans 1:28), over to a mind that is "reprobate." The more I read, study and analyze the Bible the more I gain a perspective and appreciation for wisdom that may not be substituted. Could there be a medicinal like quality of wisdom that is missed from those who omit Bible study as a part of their lifestyle? I'd be interested to see if similar diaries, explored from minds sharpened by Biblical wisdom, had the same link to the word I. Reality can't already be now under so much pressure Distrustful and willful somehow plague the future Even in the light we used to squint to see demands How things changed from a slow past to greedy hands Worse could be said of naivity and rose colored glasses Wolves dressed in sheeps clothing deceiving the masses Now became then while the patient remained hopeful The midst of the journey time told however grateful To not honor the past seemed less than authentic For we started one step at a time until times ended The shame would be for the future in my imagination to discourage dreamers from dreaming in future generations That the light we used to squint to see demands Would change from a learned past into praying hands
